Casey’s Fireworks is the reason why fireworks are legal in South Carolina. In 1953, our founder, Jim Casey, fought for the rights of everyone in SC to safely use fireworks year-round. The landmark court case went all the way to the SC State Supreme Court, keeping fireworks legal for all SC residents. Today, fireworks are still legal to shoot every day of the year in South Carolina, as long as you follow the law.
Our right to celebrate with fireworks is still in jeopardy. If we want to continue this tradition as long as possible, we need to keep firework safety in mind. Casey’s Fireworks proudly partners with local media and the City of Columbia Firefighters to spread the word about firework safety before July 4th and New Year’s Eve every year.
